Blango, Dillet Street (named after former postmaster Joseph Dillet), Freetown with pencilled "Try Government Medical Store" with red OFFICIAL PAID (035.99) dated both */7 MR 49 and */10 MR 49 alongside address panel.
This instrument has continuous solid line after SCHED No and two examples of the same instrument can be viewed on the West Africa Study Circle website on Page 7 of the Frank Walton 1949 audit book.

1882 use QV 1½d red-brown Post Card "per Zoe" to London with design pmk'd open bootheel duplex dated A/FE 1 82, landed with red SHIP-LETTER/A/PAID/FE 20 82/LONDON cds. Soiling and with pieces paper obscuring parts of reverse text.
Mail landed by private ship from Barbados to UK ports is rarely met for the later period. During period 1865 to 1886 only six entires are recorded as such, one landing Dover, five landing London.

FABRICATED PAID AT ENGLISH HARBOR Crowned Circle, ANTIGUA postal history
a completely fabricated wrapper (produced circa 1950) on brown parchment-like outer lettersheet addressed J. Lea Esq, Solicitor, Nevis with “Pd” lower left corner showing very fine red ink PAID AT ENGLISH HARBOR Crowned Circle plus very fine black ink ENGLISH HARBOR, ANTIGUA datestamp for JY 1 19 (19 for 61) and purplish ink “4” inter-island rate mark above address panel. Lower flap with trace of NEVIS arrival dbl-arc and some circular stains which are the base of a candle holder which has been cunninglyly blown out to spatter tiny flecks of red wax, also some minor soiling added by use of a paint brush dipped in water. Only two genuine entires with this Crowned Circle (Cat.£9,000) are recorded.
